Community Health
S.C.A.R.F. is a nonprofit organization with a mission to decrease and ultimately eradicate sudden cardiac arrest, one of the leading causes of death worldwide.
Today as the world is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, our mission has become more urgent than ever. People with underlying heart disease have an alarmingly high mortality rate if infected with the COVID-19 virus. Their risk of dying from cardiovascular complications is ten times higher than the average population.
In an effort to fight COVID-19, S.C.A.R.F. has launched a volunteer-run task force that arms our community with education and provides access to resources and information.
